You found it! Looking for just the right house for small family vacations? Cute house just for the 2 of you, with the occasional guests? Want some peace and quiet in your life for a change? This gorgeous 2BR property is nearly brand new, no need to wait for anything to be built, hoping that they finish the construction on time, or finish at all. Nestled in the small, residential community of Selva Secreta in the “town” or region of Chemuyil, you are less than 2 miles to the cute town of Chemuyil, where you can truly live like a local. There are many restaurants in town and if you decide you want more, you’re only 10 miles to the town of Tulum, known around the world for it’s fabulous white-sand beaches and turquoise waters.

About your new house in the jungle, you have the ability to hook-up solar panels, and lots of room to do so, but unlike so many jungle, residential communities, you are already connected to the electrical grid here. Walk in your front door into the open living area where you start to see the black accents and fixtures that are consistent throughout the house. The high ceilings really add to the open and airy feel of the house, plus helps keep the air more fresh while the 16″ saltillo pavers keep the floors feeling cool while adding a ton of warmth and character throughout the living space.

You have a bedroom under the main roof of the house with a full bath just off the living space. The bedroom can be used as a studio, an office, a treatment room, 2nd bedroom, whatever suits your needs. The main bedroom is removed from the main part of the house (though can easily be connected – plans have already been drawn up if you prefer that) where you can be at total peace and quiet regardless of what’s going on inside. The bedroom is flooded with daylight, but very little direct sunlight, helping the space remain fresh. And yes of course, there is air conditioning throughout the living area (2 units) and in each bedroom. Both bathrooms of the home have double sinks and fabulous walk-in showers!

For the things that matter, you are hooked up to the municipal water supply but have a great big cistern so you never run out. As one should, you have a water softener and water filtration system to keep your fixtures healthy and long lasting. The water in our region is very rich in minerals, so attention to details such as these is a big deal. And yes you have high speed internet too. Having recessed lighting on dimmers throughout the house also help keep energy costs down and the mood just right!

I really do love the location of your new house. You are only 1hr 15min to Cancun International Airport, and of course the Tulum International Airport opens early 2024. You’re 30 minutes to Playa del Carmen, 15 minutes to Puerto Aventuras or 12 minutes to Tulum. And if you haven’t been here in a while, we have all of the amenities you could ever want, your online purchases will find you and your cost of living could be cut in half if that’s important to you.
